Determine where your sales come from with Tracking Codes
When ticketing an event, it’s important to know where your sales are coming from. More times than not you may enlist help from partners, promoters or employees to market and sell your event. Until now, it’s been hard to really understand who contributed to referring buyers to your event. We’ve created an easy way to keep track of how many tickets others help sell, with our new Tracking Codes.
Create custom tracking codes and “Buy Tickets” buttons for individuals so they can help promote your event(s). Our system will track the number of clicks and purchases for each custom link, so your promoters will receive credit for the purchases they brought in for you. You can use this feature with official promoters, sponsors, partners, friends or employees that are helping market your event.
Here’s how it works:
In your TicketLeap account, click on Tracking Codes under your Promote settings. You may create a custom Tracking Code for an individual event page or your organization page. Give this custom code to the person helping promote your event and it will keep track of the number of clicks and sales that resulted from their promotion efforts.
Once your Tracking Code is created, you can also create a custom Buy Tickets button with a Tracking Code. Also under the Promote settings, click on Create a Button. Here you can apply a Tracking Code to the HTML button code that you create. Now your promotional partner can post this button on their website to direct traffic to your events!
