Sell tickets anytime, anywhere with the TicketLeap Box Office solution

Event organizers, it’s time to break free from expensive, bulky box office equipment. TicketLeap is about to change the way you sell tickets to your events.

Today marks the official launch of TicketLeap Box Office Ticket Sales, our newest feature which allows you to sell tickets anytime, anywhere you have an Internet connection. Using a laptop, you can sell tickets at the door of your event. Your online and onsite sales all live in one system, making it easy to balance the books for your events.

“Using TicketLeap, the transactions are synced in perfect harmony, making it effortless to keep track of your sales no matter where or when they take place,” says Chris Stanchak, CEO of TicketLeap.

As a web-based application, there is no software you need to download to get started. Using the TicketLeap Box Office solution you are able to sell tickets at the door and instantly accept credit and debit card using a USB credit card swipe. You can also easily print hard tickets through a Boca printer.

“This system is cost-effect for events of any size,” adds Stanchak. “There’s no need to invest in expensive box office equipment – with TicketLeap you can use any laptop with an Internet connection.”

The TicketLeap interface is so easy to use, even non-tech savvy event organizers will be able to set up and sell tickets at the door with minimal troubleshooting. Multiple box office stations and ticket scanning stations can be set up at one event, and the data all syncs to the same account in real-time.

All you need is a TicketLeap account to get started. Once you’re in your account, select the ‘Box Office’ tab and you can sell tickets anywhere.

How do I setup box office sales using a USB credit card reader? Do I buy the reader from you? Is there a setup charge to enable box office sales?

  2. Lauren Beley

Hi David! Thank you for your interest in the TicketLeap Box Office.

There is no fee to set up your box office sales. All you need is a TicketLeap account and an active event. We don’t sell USB card readers, but you can find one on ebay or Amazon. Just make sure it’s a keyboard emulated USB credit card swipe.

We recommend that you use the TicketLeap Merchant Account to process the sales. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get set up:

If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call at 877-849-5327.

  3. I noticed there is a non-credit sales option. Is there a processing fee for tickets sold through Ticketleap that are paid in cash?

  4. Lauren Beley

Hi Jessica, thanks for your question. There is only a $1 ticketing fee for cash or check tickets sold through the TicketLeap Box Office. The event organizer may pass the fee along to the buyer or pay it themselves.

Is it take credit card orders through the ticket leap box office WITHOUT a card reader?

  6. Lauren Beley

Hi William. You do not need the card reader to accept credit card swipe – you are able to manually enter the card information as well. Hope this helps :)

When using the credit card check in process, will we need to obtain a signature from the guest, if so what do they sign? & how do we print a receipt?

  8. Lauren Beley

Hi George! When selling onsite and the card is present you do not need to obtain a signature from the card holder (we do suggest you check ID to verify he/she is the card holder). You may enter his/her email address to email the receipt.

  9. Are there options for other printers (like a dymo thermal printer) and ticket stock? If not will you be renting Boca printers? Is there an Ipad friendly version of the box office software?

  10. Can you provide a link or list of supported Boca printers?

  11. Lauren Beley

Thanks for your questions Rick and Adam.

At this time the Box Office is configured to work with Boca Printers only. We recommend that you use the most up-to-date printers that they supply, you can learn more at http://www.bocasystems.com/. Unfortunately we do not rent equipment to clients.

You may try other thermal printers with the Box Office, however we must stress that we created the Box Office feature to work with Boca. You’d just want to make sure the print settings are the same (5.5″ wide by 2.0″ high ticket).

We do have an iPad version in the works, so stay tuned to our blog for all new feature announcements. :)

  12. Can you sell reserved seat events on TicketLeap such as theatre shows and concerts?

  13. Lauren Beley

Hi Geoff. At this time that platform does not support reserved seating events, but it’s in the pipeline for the near future. Keep tuned to our blog and website for new feature announcements!

    • Do you know an ETA for offering reserved seating? Our theatre season is underway. Our first production’s tickets go on sale in October I would love to switch to Ticketleap, but we require reserved seating for all of our events. Thank you.

      • Brian Lynch

        Hey Adam,

Our ETA for the reserved seating is sometime in December. I know that’s a little after your October deadline, but please keep us in mind for your next production – we’ll be happy to work with you.

PS, Break a leg! Only one, though. I think theater luck has diminishing returns after two legs get broken.

  14. Congratulations on the launch. I have a few box office dot com domains that are available. These will compliment your box office ticketing services. Please let me know. Thanks. Good luck.

  15. BoxOfficeTicketSales dot com is up for sale. This is a stellar site to point traffic or to build a website. Another company purchased the ticketing site. BoxOfficeTicketSales is still available. There are many opportunities to implement the site.
