‘TicketLeap Anywhere’ Brings The Box Office To The Cloud
Web-based box office makes it possible to sell tickets from almost anywhere on earth

PHILADELPHIA, PA - May 6, 2009 - TicketLeap announced the launch of TicketLeap Anywhere, a cloud-based ticketing platform that enables event organizers to sell tickets from virtually anywhere with Internet access using minimal hardware such as inexpensive laptops.

“TicketLeap Anywhere can do everything a $10,000 full-service box office system can do.  The only difference is that it lives in the cloud and works from your web browser,” says TicketLeap CEO, Chris Stanchak.

“This means that we save our customers thousands of dollars in equipment.  We charge only a small fee per ticket that most customers pass along to the patron,” he adds.

The response from customers has been overwhelming.

“Using TicketLeap Anywhere was a no-brainer,” says Ed Fleming, Executive Director of America’s Video Game Expo, who sold thousands of tickets using TicketLeap Anywhere.

“On the day of the event, we setup a few laptops at the door to sell tickets. TicketLeap and the TicketLeap Anywhere solution proved to be great partner in helping VGXPO increase its number of attendees through the gate,” he says. Fleming also notes the system was popular among the video gamers who attended his event.

“Because it was so easy to use, we actually let our patrons operate the ticketing software themselves,” Fleming says.  “They were swiping their own credit cards and getting their tickets in under a minute.  They thought it was cool.”

High schools, festivals, trade shows and conventions have also been very receptive to the product, he adds. Walter Johnson High School was one of the first high schools to use TicketLeap Anywhere for their sports and performance events.

“TicketLeap Anywhere is incredibly easy to use to sell tickets online and at the door.  The ticketing software allows customers to pick their seats using a digital map or be assigned to the best available seats,” says Kathy Cosgrove, Business Manager at Walter Johnson High School.  “This ticket service helped us tremendously with our past productions and the ability to track all of our sales digitally was quite helpful. “

TicketLeap believes that most ticket solutions will eventually live in the cloud. “It’s only a matter of time before every ticket you buy comes from web-based ticketing software like this,” Stanchak says.  “There’s really no comparison when it comes to cost, convenience and flexibility.”

TicketLeap Secures Series A Venture Capital

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TICKETLEAP SECURES $2 MILLION INVESTMENT

MentorTech Ventures, Ben Franklin Technology Partners invest in online event ticketing company

Philadelphia, PA – July 22, 2008 – TicketLeap.com, which allows anyone, anywhere to easily sell tickets online, announces the closing of a $2 million Series A venture capital round. The additional funds will allow the company to implement several recently-signed business development deals, make important new hires, and continue investments in technology and marketing. The investment group was led by MentorTech Ventures, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and others.

“For this step, it was critical that we obtain not just funding, but expertise and relationships to help grow this business to the scale we envision,” said Christopher Stanchak, Founder and CEO of TicketLeap. “MentorTech, which backed successful firms such as NEAT Receipts, Yodle, and Diapers.com, is ideal for the national push, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners has simply the best resources in the Delaware Valley.”

“We evaluate companies like TicketLeap every day, and rarely spot this combination of a large underserved market, a strong business plan to meet that need, and the core management and technology in place to properly execute,” said Michael Aronson, Managing Director of MentorTech.

TicketLeap was founded in 2003, when Christopher Stanchak, a former technology manager, spotted an opportunity in ticketing solutions for smaller events and grassroots activities. He built the original TicketLeap application and business from the ground-up, part-time, with the assistance of family, friends, and the Venture Initiation Program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a student. By 2007, the concept was proven, the business was cash-flow positive, and an angel investment allowed him to focus on expansion full-time.

Now, TicketLeap Vendors can take advantage of the new refund tool as part of their virtual box office. In the past, TicketLeap and the Vendors had to take many steps in order to refund a patron. Now, all the power is in the Vendor’s hands! This allows for faster decisions on refunds and more happy patrons.

Another awesome new feature released this week was the ability for each Vendor to have their own personal page on the TicketLeap website. Now Vendors can choose their own subdomain name. This helps patrons to easily find the page they are looking for and also allows for easier advertising! Say, for instance, I wanted to choose a subdomain where I could post all my events- I could choose meg.ticketleap.com.  Pick your subdomain today!
