GuitartownCT Productions – Another Hit!

GuitartownCT Productions had another successful event – this one feautred legendary singer and guitar player David Bromberg. He brought The Angel Band to town on Sunday, July 6th at 3PM and played to almost 200 people. Bromberg doesn’t play concerts that often, so it was a rare chance to see and hear his bluesy vocals, wry humor and brilliant guitar playing in an intimate hall, along with the beautiful singing and playing of his exciting band.

Following this act will not be easy, but GuitartownCT Productions has booked Jesse Winchester for Saturday, September 20 at 8 PM. After many entreaties, GuitartownCT has persuaded the brilliant singer/songwriter to make the long trek north from Nashville and grace the stage. It’s a rare treat to hear Jesse, and you will find yourself smiling as you sing along with many of his songs. Jesse Winchester was born in Shreveport, LA, and raised in Memphis. In 1967 he went to Canada to evade the draft, a fact that has lent his career a certain notoriety. He was discovered there by Robbie Robertson of The Band. Winchester made his first album, the acclaimed “Jessie Winchester” (which included his classic ‘Yankee Lady’, ‘Brand New Tennessee Waltz’, and ‘Biloxi’) with Robertson as producer, and subsequently toured in Canada as an opening act for The Band.

Tickets are on sale now at GuitartownCT’s website and are sold though TicketLeap. Buy now, before the house is sold out!
