Though I think all the events on TicketLeap sound like a good time, every once in a while there is an event that particularly excites me. I should have known the first time I saw this adorable name, but “WeeBoogie”certainly caught my attention today! Jodi Van Lom is a mother of two and the founder of Playgroups USA, a network that facilitates the setup of children’s playgroups for parents. She recently became a TicketLeap vendor in order to sell tickets to a special upcoming event within a division of Playgroups USA, WeeBoogie.
WeeBoogie provides parents with a great place to bring their children. Because music (and fun!) are so essential in a toddler’s life, WeeBoogie events allow children to experience great music and have lots of time to dance and socialize with other kids! The Chesapeake Arts Center, located just outside of Baltimore and only 40 mins from DC, is experiencing great success as a TicketLeap Vendor. Mohsen Namjoo is an amazing Iranian performer. His eclectic mix of traditional Persian melodies with elements of blues and modern rock inspire thousands. His pieces are packed with powerful emotion, truly moving those who listen. Namjoo has gained worldwide notoriety for his controversial lyrics and progressive sounds, as well as his poetry. This fall, Namjoo will begin his first every solo US tour which includes five stops open to the public.
Beyond Persia, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing exposure to Persian art and culture, has chosen TicketLeap to be the ticketing provider for this momentous tour! Yesterday I had the chance to speak with a very enthusiastic patron excited about an event coming up this weekend. After reading about it (and looking at some amazing pictures), I think it’s safe to say that this is definitely one of the most interesting events that have caught my attention! It’s called “Digital Graffiti” and it is nothing short of spectacular.
Each year, digital artists gather at Alys Beach, FL to display their designs. This year they had over one hundred entries from artists all over the world! Check out their website to get an idea of just how amazing these designs get!

Hailed as one of the best American documentaries in recent times, Trouble the Water will open up in New York and LA this weekend. The documentary chronicles the plight of those left behind in New Orleans’ 9th Ward after the waters of Hurricane Katrina receded. The emotions of the area’s residences skyrocket as days pass without much help. From the producers of Farenheight 9/11, Trouble the Water is sure to make waves. The film was the winner of the Grand Jury award at the Sundance Film Festival!
